Mumbai, Sep 21: LIC of India has organised a conference of its CEO’s & Heads of foreign units from UK, Singapore, Bahrain, Kenya, Fiji, Mauritius, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh at GIFT city, Gandhinagar on September 20.
Recently, LIC of India got an approval from IFSCA, the regulator of GIFT city to open an insurance office. LIC of India is exploring opportunities to kick start operations at GIFT city by leveraging various advantages. LIC would like to use this latest channel to reach the Indian diaspora across the globe, to provide innovative insurance and investment options. This office provides us an opportunity to spread the brand of LIC internationally and reach out to NRIs & PIOs in a big way.
The top leadership of LIC of India -Siddhartha Mohanty, CEO & MD -Jagannath, MD -Tablesh Pandey, MD -Sat Pal Bhanoo, MD - Doraiswamy, MD were present at the meeting. Mohanty, CEO & MD addressed the conference to have a clear focus on opportunities to take the strong brand image of LIC to diverse international market through the insurance office at GIFT city Gandhinagar.
